Oak Barn
The Oak Barn is a family business. We work mostly with small furniture-making shops that employ only a few people and make the furniture by hand. Most of our furniture comes from Amish country in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Tennessee, Kentucky, and North Carolina. We pass along to our customers the savings we realize by buying directly from the craftsmen.
Much of our furniture is handcrafted by families of Amish
craftsmen, keeping the art of furniture making alive. Together, we make it
possible for them to preserve their way of life. Our selection of woods, design,
unique styles and colors attest to the Amish ideal of quality.
Authentically Crafted Solid Wood Furniture
While visiting the
Oak Barn
you will find the most authentically crafted furniture and accessories in the
styles of Mission, Shaker, Country
and Traditional solid woods. We work closely with the
individual Craftsmen and buy directly from them. We keep our quality high and
our prices affordable. We carry all the best of traditional oak furniture,
as well as the beauty
and quality of other woods such as: Cherry, Black Walnut, Maple, and Pine.
We're always searching for quality solid wood furniture. We HATE particle board!
It is our practice to use all our resources wisely, and to recognize that while our Creator has endowed us with many blessings, we also have been given responsibilities, ranging from proper stewardship of our environment all the way through to serving our customer with courtesy and integrity. We seek to conduct business with integrity, quality and kindness. We believe that matters of the heart provide the best framework for successful business relationships.
The Oak Barn has an everyday low price policy. We don't hold clearance events or holiday sales because we feel that we offer such good value for your dollar with our fair standard prices. We can offer such good value because we purchase our merchandise direct from the makers as if we were buying for our own home.
We take the
time to educate our customers. We encourage our customers to go into the marketplace to
research and compare the value and the quality of our products against the merchandize of
other retailers. We want to educate our customers so that they can recognize a good value
in furniture no matter where it is. Even if a customer doesn't buy here today, they leave
our store armed with the knowledge necessary to make informed decisions about their future
purchases.
